New Hair

It has been about 8 years since I dies my hair. I used to dye my hair all different shade of blonde and brown. Whenever I felt like making a change in my life or turning over a new leaf I would dye my hair to signify it.

Since I started growing my hair I have been worried about doing anything to damage it.  I decided I wanted a change and to be different, etc.  but still don't want to damage my hair so I decided to  use a semi permanent color without bleaching first. I would live to dye my hair a crazy different color but do not want to bleach so I am limited to colors that work over my natural shade.

I used Beyond the Zone Outrageous Orange. I left it on for three hours and this is the result. I wasn't sure at first but when I looked at these pictures I think it's growing on me.

We went for a picnic at this park, which was a nice park, though many people did not clean up after their dogs and there were surprises in the grass everywhere. The water and view were nice and as long as we stayed on the walkways we were safe.

Spring in the Park

I have always been an outdoors girl especially when spring comes around. Unfortunately, my current living situation is more urban than not. Good thing there are tons of really nice parks (and some not so nice ones). This is a really nice park in a really not so nice city. It has tons of history. The original land was part of a farm that was one of the first buildings ever built in the area in 1685. The original house is still there in the park. The city bought the land in 1894 to make into a park and over the years many other structures and attractions have been built. There is a zoo in the park and an original 19th century carousel. I can't find any information about some of the structures. Like the star rock formation below. I wonder what that is about?

Production Pictures

Remember the designs and costumes in progress I posted from the show I was working on in the Fall? Well I finally got some production shots to share. I have also added these to my Flickr portfolio.

This was a fun project to work on. It was different for me as there was no much construction, the costumes were contemporary and realistic, and there was a relatively small cast.

Summer Pictures

I just found these pictures I took over the summer at my family's camp in New Hampshire. They have me feeling very nostalgic for summer even though, or perhaps because, it is absolutely frigid outside.

You can't tell much in these pictures but this was actually a very cloudy, rainy day. I had to stop taking pictures because the light sprinkle turned into a downpour!

Seems like it is the thing to do to do a New Year's resolution post. I didn't want to do one at first because I am not one to do something just because that is what everyone else is doing. However...

I have long felt frustrated about my over abundance of passion coupled with a lack of focus on one particular thing. I just wish there was enough time to do all the things I want to do but there isn't and I get frustrated and give up on things because of it. Because of this I feel like I haven't come close to the full potential of what I can do.

That being said, I feel like this year I have gotten closer to my goal of being more focused and streamlining my goals. Part of it has to do with starting this blog. In addition, there are other things I have in mind the focus on and now comes the following through part!

If I can do this I know the sky is the limit for me.
